I can't seem to get PS to allow me to choose a color. Whenever I choose one, it with choose a shade of grey, but never the damn color. I can't fix it. Do I just have to restart the computer, or is it something I may have messed up?

Like SFX said, you might be on grayscale. Whenever you're making a new image look below the size factors and you should see a drop down box with Grayscale in it. Just click the arrow and click on RGB color and you should be just fine.

Is that an "Oh, I know... ah yes" uhmm or is that a "(I wonder.... I'll take a guess)" uhmm?
Well, thanks S.O. .
Since I wanted to make the image and then enter it onto the main image, but didn't know how, I just decided to make the image on the main images itself, layer 2. But thanks!

You mean like you have 2 open boxes with one image in one and a image in another? If so then just click the move tool and click and hold the image you want to move into the other image.

Will this allow me to something like, lets say, a peace sign that is its own image onto a larger image that is separate, so that the peace sign is now part of the larger image?
