Supposedly, this game is the only game more addicting then crack, said by crack addicts. Anyway, its a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG). Its one of those live action games, similar to the Diablo series. You play as one of six professions, with a second additional profession. The professions are as follows: - Warrior - Self explanatory
- Monk - Healing and support
- Ranger - Archer with ability to tame animals
- Mesmer - Still clueless at what they do
- Elementalist - Magic
- Necromancer - Raise the dead
Thats a brief summary of all the classes. Like the title says, "Guilds," there are guilds that you can join, create, etc. You can challenge other guilds once you get a guild hall, you can get capes for your members. It takes about 5 hours to get to level 5 in this game. Why you ask? There's only 20 levels. It is ridicously hard to make money, so you can get good weapons, etc. for 1k. I currently have 1.7k. Some items sell dirt cheap, or really good. Dyes (for armor) sell for a lot, and Black and Silver dyes sell for the most. Anyway, that's my rant about this game. I may write a review for DG. >.> Who knows?

sounds cool but the guild idea is reminiscent of Fable.
Mesmer? XD
Do you buy it or is it something you log into online?

You pay $50 to buy (might be cheaper now, but I seriously doubt it) and then you play online. No monthly fees.
It is an online only game though.

Maple story's a 2D side-scrolling game. This is 3D map-that-takes-a-day-to-cross-thank-god-for-warp-points Doom3 graphics game.

Yeah but there are 200 levels and it's pratically easy to get money. Well.. not really. Damn lag.

I use to play Maple Story Smashey. Then they won't send the activation to my netscape e-mail, so I got screwed over. Anyway, the map is like Morrowind's, except there are warp points, and if you've visited them before, you can warp there agian (mostly the towns, arenas, and forts).

whicg again brings me back to fable.....
Doom 3 graphics? Awsomely long map? pimp.
do you run into random battles like in FF or ONLY other people?
Do you have to fight them in a special battle sequence like FF or on the world map itself, like in Fable?

Real action battle, like Fable. Once you leave a town though, unless the people are in your party, you don't see them. You have your own piece of the server. You can only make parties in towns also. There are hundreds of thousands of quests. I've done about 10.

I've heard about this, and the one-time-purchase-and-no-monthly-fees thing sounds cool too.
Speaking of Guild Wars, there was a funny video with a party that was released a while ago, but I forgot where it was...
So, are the sidequests and stuff updated regularly? If so, that's awesome, and will probably last a long time.
