I bought this today too, along with XML. The first store (Best Buy) I was at said they discontinued it, so I went to the other one (another Best Buy), and they had one copy left for $29.99.
It's...a really...different RPG. The battle system takes a lot of getting used to, and this is one of those games where you have to read the manual. Still, it's pretty fun so far.
I also had to figure out what the numbers on the Magnus cards meant in the instruction booklet. Like I said, it'll take some getting used to, but so far it's pretty cool.

I beat the first two bosses (Sabre Dragon, and Lord of the Spring, I think), and I'm back at Cebelrai (sp?).
The leveling up is really weird, too, and I don't like how the cards in your deck are random each time. I get my ass kicked when I'm supposed to defend and I get two fire bursts and a dark flare instead. The money system is weird, too, and the voices sound like they're not well-timed, and that they're being spoken through a hollow metal tube or something. Tales of Symphonia's voice acting was great, but I guess that was Monolith Soft's fault, since they developed most of it, and Namco published it.
But those are the small quirks to it. Other than that it's pretty fun, and it's nice how it's a lot different than most RPG's. But yeah, I'm not very far either. =P

Yeah, I'm when you go to rescue her, or right after actually.
Voices are shit. They're worse then Zoten on Marty porn. Which is truly horrible, or, at least I think. I've never watched it, since you have the video SO.

But remember? You had nothing to watch that one day, you popped it in, and...?
Anyway, right know I'm pretty much at the fight before Giacomo. I'm starting to get the hang of battle more, and Kalas once did 180-something damage. I can barely get a straight or a pair, though...
So, am I doing all right? Kalas and Xelha are at level 6, both are at Class 2, and I have around 4,400 (?) Gold. Is that good or bad?

Giacomo's picture sold for like 5000 Gold, which was awesome. Anyway, now I'm supposed to go to Diadem, I think. Kalas and Xelha are at level 7, and I got some more Magnus, but I think that's really it. =/

=P
Anyway, I went to Diadem and to that fishing town, got Gibari in my party, helped unclog the Lesser Celestial River to get rid of the flood, and now I just arrived at Sheliak.
Kalas, Xelha, and Gibari are all at level 9, I think...I haven't gone to the church since going to the river, though.
