Hey, I'm hosting a site straight off my own pc and I'm going through the updated (free version) built into XP Pro (IIS) i installed PHP5.0.3 and all my .php pages work but im getting this error with my counter... Warning: fopen(counter.txt) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\hits.php on line 6 Warning: fputs(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\hits.php on line 7 Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\hits.php on line 8 Hits: 1 its stuck on 1 hit (default im guessing) yes CHMOD is 777 automaticaly and manually and for entire site and folder and the damn files... but i still get error this is the code im useing for my counter ( www.darkgamer.com/index.php?page=scripts&id=1) I did it exactly as it says in the tutorial and yes 0 isnt "0" or something stupid like that its just im clueless as to why I don't have permission to overwrite the file (I think thats the issue at hand but not exactly sure...) If i need a mysql db for that it would be bothersome... and im pretty damn sure i dont need it for that its just a simple script to txt file code.... I'm planning on adding a mysql db later if anyone has some suggestions on how to do that I'd be thankful. And if so maybe a way to do a counter through mysql after i get it installed. Thanks in advanced for any help on this problem ;D

At this point, I believe Crazy's right. That code should work perfectly.
