Ok. Here i go. I created a proboards site called Sango's Haven. Yes it is basically named after the anime character that I closely resemble but bear with me. *warning* the site looks girlish. Sorry.
[ftp]http://sango028.proboards43.com[/ftp]
Here is the site itself. I have made it so guests can see it.
What I need help with is, on the left side of the site (main page) I would like to create buttons that are links to the other sites that I manage. I would like the buttons to link directly to the other sites and to be different colors specific to the site. I know that this sounds confusing but I am trying to say it the best that i can.
Thanks in advance!
Sango

Were you thinking something like this, or something like this? Or something completely different?

The second one. But I have a long list of them. And I would have to reforatt the main page in able to have them on the left side parallel to the main forum. Does that make any sense? And by the way, thank you for answering my questions on this. I should have asked these and put everything together before starting the site.

OK. Now you have to remember, that I am dumb right now. Where do I put that first code? And how and where do I put in the stuff that I want?
Like my first site is Sesshomaru Sanctuary in blue then Kikyou Studies in red Outlaw Land II in Purple
where in that code where I put those?
Also I have a cbox on my site in the footer right now. Are these codes for the header buttons?
gosh i probably confusing you so but, i am really dumb at this. i am sorry.

Its okaii, Ill help you with the coding.
Where it says:
<!--links etc insert here -->
Put in the links to your other websites.
To create a link, use the following code when applied into your html page &/or php page:
<a href="The Page's URL">The Page's Name</a>
Where it says The Page's URL, you must type (or copy and paste) the link to the page, which can be obtained from clicking on the address in the address bar at the top of the page and right clicking then selecting 'Copy'.
Then just type in the pages name, where it says The Page's Name in the code.
You can also make image links by using image codes instead of the pages name; To do this, you should use the following code:
<img src="The Image Representing The Page">
Now, just put in the URL for the image you want to rep. the page where it says The Image Representing The Page. Just get it by right-clicking and select properties, then highlight the address of the image and press ctrl+c.

Ok that is good. thank you for that but, I would like to be able to have the sites name only as the button link and have it in a certain color that represents the site.
ex: Kikiyou Studies - red in color (text only) Box color to be creame Sesshomaru Sanctuary - blue in color (text only) box color to be light purple Sango's Haven - Pink in color (text only) box color to be Light blue Outlaw II - Purple in color (text only) box color to be white Carpathian - Grey in color (text only) box color to be black Sangoholics - Black in color (text only) box color to be silver Inuyasha Catacombs - Silver in color (text only) box color to be dark grey
and so on.
But i would like to have th button links on the left side of the page on my site. Not in the header or the footer.I would also like to have the links at a decent size also so people are albe to see the writing of which site it is.
I think that is most explanitory on what i would like to see. I have seen it elsewhere and they did not disclose the codes or how to do it. so I ask once again here.
Please assist this challenged soul! ha ha
