Anyone try coding BASIC or ASM for the TI-8x graphing calculators? Well I tried getting it to display basic text one day last school year and it took me forever to figure out (since I didn't use any tutorials). I finally got it ... Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, me and this kid I know at school (joined this forum over a year ago but posted like once) are starting to mess around with it. Even Zoten is XD BASIC is pretty cool ... but you can't do much with it - it goes with the name =P I've made a quiz, magic 8 ball, and some random text effects. The kid I know (better than me at it) has made: A quiz, magic 8 ball, random text effects, Black Jack, this "space invaders" style game (really slow though - but that's because BASIC requires constant reloads), and some other random stuff. Zoten has made a text effect and a quiz. I'm considering trying out Assembly(ASM)... it looks hard though >_> I don't plan to go far in this, I just want to see what I can make. -- The shell I use on my calculator is MirageOS. Good sites: www.ticalcs.org/www.detachedsolutions.com/ (Created MirageOS & PuzzPack) -- Discuss: TI-8xCalculators. Programs on calculators. Games on calculators. etc.

I make programs on my calculator to do my homework for me... or rather, so I don't have to remember formulas (like quadratic).

Smashey talked to me about this once, but I won't waste time learning BASIC
