It's a pretty good RPG (the third in the Star Ocean series, first one in 3-D), at least what I've played of it so far. The battle system is a lot like Tales of Symphonia's, only you can walk anywhere on the battlefield.
I keep getting my ass handed to me, though, so I need to keep practicing. =/
It's also two discs. GCN two-disc games are packed better, but I guess you can't do much with the size of the PS2 discs and all.

I got it when it came out on PS2. I personally liked the second one better, but this one is really good, too. =D How can you keep losing? You must suck at it. Oh, and keep a note to completely map everything. You get stuff from doing so. Can't remember the name of it, but it makes it so YOU move faster during battle. Keep one, and sell the rest. And yeah... the battle system > j00

I must suck at it, then.
Well, I'm getting better, but I still suck more than I usually do in RPG's. I only got one map completed (the very first one in the game). I heard that when you get another one, they overlap. Does that mean only the abilities overlap and you still get to keep more than one, or you only get to keep more than one?
And I don't notice any faster movement. But maybe that's 'cause it's only 5% (1/144 bunny).
I'm getting better at canceling, too. I can sometimes get it to 200%, but then the attack ends up missing and I'm out of Fury anyway.
I don't want to keep sucking because this game reminds me of Tales of Symphonia, which was full of awesome. Well, it kind of reminds me of it.
