Okay people, the way this is gonna work is that you can debate whos view is better on a certain thing, or you can post what one person did and why it's good/bad, and others can say why it wasn't good/bad.... however the heck you want it.
I'll start it off. I'll never say anything good about bush, so if it starts off sounding nice, it's a satirical post. Like this one will be.
George Bush is so awsome, he even has his own philosophy. He has opinions, but he doesn't always agree with them. And he has had a lot of education. He went to both Harvard, AND Yale! He must have studied philosophy before he dropped out.
And that amendment he is attempting to make? Spectacular. I was overjoyed, along with 90% of the rest of America (all the middle class workers) when I heard that Bush wants to make an amendment to allow aliens (not martians, aliens, as in, mexicans... its a real term, okay?) who aren't citizens to come over into america legally, without citizenship or any paperwork or anything, so that they can work for less than minimum wage.

I personally don't know much about either of them, just the laws they're trying to pass. Rights? Who needs them. That's why Bush passed the Patriot Act 1 and 2. Why don't all of us citizens just carry an ID card with our Social Security number on it. Heck, why don't we make it so if you don't have the card, you can't buy anything. And sales tax based on income? Great idea. Charge Bill gates 500%, and charge all those hard wokring citizens who work to make the money, instead of being lazy asses 50% tax. Hell, while your at it, pass that bill (already passed) that when any new babies are born, you record a DNA sample for testing in future crimes. I love the idea. Rights? We have none anymore. Hell, aliens won't have to use this ID card, sounds great. Love the idea. Kill what remaining rights we have. First amendment? Who needs those. 5th? Heh, nothing there. Patriot Act II? Go ahead and arrest any suspected terrorists, beat them senseless for information, and go ahead and don't tell anyone that you took them. Sounds fun. Feel free to wire tap my phone line or internet line for up to 48 hours without a warrant from a judge. Fine by me. I wrote a whole speech on the Partiot Act II, so before anyone says my facts are wrong, check your own. Also, this reminds me of those identity theft comercials.

Dammit, I didn't come here fast enough. Oh well, I call the next debate topic to be made by me. And by call, I mean threaten so no one else does so.
Let's set up some ground rules for the debates:
- No flaming/insulting other members. This debate and any other debates we'll have won't be based off of which member is better, or why you dislike him/her (just kidding about the "her" part). Things could get heated...once again, just kidding. If you get riled up over a debate you're having with an anonymous person on the Internet, you need a good kick in the nuts.
- Try to sound intelligent. The first couple of posts -- however no matter how funny and true they may be -- are sarcastic, and that's fine as long as things are kept cool. Don't go out of your way to try to sound funny, because you should try to sound intelligent; that way you'll win the debate.
- Any staff member has the right to do anything they want with your posts as long as it's in line and not mod abuse. Warnings/other punishments may be given if you act like a five year-old.
...That should cover it. By the way, as for me, I may or may not participate in the debates, depending on the topic. I might try to help out the losing side if need be (except in this topic -- the reason should be self-explanatory), or if the topic being debated interests me. Or if I have time (which I probably will [except for now]), I'll probably participate anyway...this sounds like fun.
Yep, that should cover it. Carry on, and I'll be sure to butt in accordingly with arguments and counter-arguments.

YES
I won.
ahem.... back to the debate....
actually, one comment..... I'm not sure if we have any pro-bush, or at least really anti kerry fans... to my recollection, CD is the closest thing, because his family is republican, but he seems to hate George Bush.
One of my reasons can go into its own thread....... for later........
Bush stole the election. Originally, GORE had more votes in florida (back to the 2000 election), and recounts then were illegally stopped.
His vice president is the president of Halliburton, a company that, for a long time, has done business with Iraq. And the U.S. sold chemical and biological agents to Iraq.
Bush donates so much money to Israel that we spend more money per capita on Israel that on Americans.
Bush went agains the UN's ruling and started the war with Iraq. Because of this, we've lost over 1000 american lives, almost half being caused by failures in our own technology. Those failures are due to pay-offs from places like Boeing, to the politicians and safety inspectors (people who make sure equipment meets safety standards) that allow them to save money in the long run on material costs. Also, many Iraqi lives have been lost.
The Bush family has done business with the Bin Ladin family for many years.
And on a side, note, if you call people who hate the president un-american, I'd like to talk to you.......

I find it weird that this topic was the one people voted for the most, but now no one's participating in it. I should hold people to their word when they're voting, by use of threats or something. Anyway, uh...most of the stuff I was going to say has been said, so I guess we need to wait, or something...
