Pixel Buttons Tutorial: [/li][li]Create a new image 125x50, and fill it in with a dark gray. [/li][li]Now take the rectangular marquee tool and create a decent size rectangle inside the dark gray background. [/li][li]Create a new layer [Shift+Ctrl+N] and fill the selection with a lighter shade of gray like "#626262". [/li][li]Now deselect and this is what you should have come up with: [/li][li]On that same layer, go to Layer Style > Blending Options > Stroke: with these settings: Size: 1px Position: Outside Blend Mode: Normal Opacity: 100% Fill Type: Color Color: #000000 [/li][li]On that same layer, go to Layer Style > Blending Options > Bevel and Emboss: with these settings: Style: Inner Bevel Technique: Chisel Hard Depth: 105% Direction: Up Size: 2px Soften: 0px [/li][li]You should come up with this: [/li][li]Now select the text tool and pick a pixel font, like something from the 04b family, then type up what you want; preferably in black text. [/li][li]Here's what it can look like: Extra; if you want to have different colored buttons: [/li][li]After typing up the text, go back to the second layer, which is the one right under the text. [/li][li]Press Ctrl + U, and change the settings so "Colorize" is checked, then mess around with the settings. Completion: Almost; [/li][li]After you have the color and the text and everything, crop the image so you don't leave the dark gray background. You should end up with something like these: #nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys
