Step 1 Open a new document, at least 400x400 pixels. Press the 'D' key to reset your colors, then select your gradient tool with options set too Linear gradient and draw a line from the top to the bottom of your document. Step 2 Now go to Filter-Distort-Wave. Leave it at its default settings, just change the Number of Generations too: 10 and change the Type too: Square. Then go to Filter-Distort-Polar Coordinates and leave it at its default settings. Now press Ctrl-I. Step 3 New press Ctrl-U too give it color. Doesn't matter, set it too what you like (220 | 20 | 0). Next right click the layer and duplicate it, then set its mode to color dodge. Now go to Filter-Distort-Twirl and leave it at its default settings. Then your finished. final picture

Nice effect! Although I think more could be done to the black part of the image...something subtle perhaps.

What's wrong with rating tutorials? It's just like rating graphics, only the person tells you how to make it.
