1. Create New document > 500x500 > transparent 2. With your paint tool, fill the background of layer 1, 000000 (black) 3. Layer > New > New layer > Name it 'lines 1' 4. Set foreground colour to 'FF0000', background color to '000000' 5. With the gradient tool out, use the following settings as shown below. 6. Make sure you also have the gradient type as shown below. 7. Go crazy with the gradient tool until you have something like this. (Remember, not to make them too big in width) 8. Layer > Merge Visible (Ctrl+Shift+E) 9. Filter > Brush Strokes > Accented Edges with the following settings. (Edge Width: 3, Edge Brightness: 7, Smoothness: 6) You should then have something like this. 10. Filter > Artistic > Plastic Wrap with the following settings. (Highlight strength: 9, Detail: 11, Smoothness: 5) You should now have something like this. 11. Layer > Flatten Image 12. Duplicate the layer and name it 'lines 2' 13. Image > Rotate > Flip Layer Vertical 14. Set the blending mode to lighten and your all done. =) Final Result
