1) First go crazy with the second gradient tool, the one that is for making circles. Make sure the mode is on difference too. 2) Duplicate the layer 3) Filter-Distort-Pinch -100% and set the layer mode to screen 4) Duplicate the layer, and use filter-distort-zig zag at default settings 5) Set the blending mode to overlay and merge all the layers down into one 6) Filter-Distort-Wave 5 1, 216 1, 104 100% 100% Wrap Around, Sine 7) Duplicate the layer and hit ctrl F to do a wave distortion again 8) Change the blending mode to overlay and merge the layer down 9) Change the hue/saturation to whatever you want, I chose a nice red color. 10) Duplicate the layer, and do a gaussian blur of 2 pixels. 11) Set the blending mode of the top layer to hard light 12) Ta da! all done! I got a pretty neat abstract effect, my friend told me it looks like some kind of intenstines. Hope ya like it and learned something about wave distortions as well as the gradient tool. ...from G101 Design.
