Yes, going along with my other topic, I bought SCII for $19.99 along with F-Zero, and Mortal Kombat: Deception (but that was $39.99). I unlocked all characters when I rented it (2003) except for Lizardman. There's a lot to unlock here, too.
My best characters are probably Link, Nightmare, and possibly Necrid.
Too bad SCIII is PS2-exclusive.

Thats what they said about Res 4 for gamecube and look at what happened. Soul Calibur 2 is a great game really fast, which i only noticed after playing tekken 4, pitty Soul Calibur 3 isnt out yet.

Yeah, but Sony's evil like that. They make contracts for some games which don't allow the release of the same game for other consoles for a year or two. =P Yeah, the fighting system in SCII is a lot faster than say, MK:D, which is why you need to master combos quicker in this one.

Noooo.... the memories.... ><
God I loved this game. I havn't played it in two years though.
I got everything. I beat everything, got to round 96 on survival (believe that's what its called) and 36 on the survival where you can pick weapons.
I played as Link, Taki, Talim (hit up and top button (Y I believe) and you get my self named "Dance Move"), and then finally, the ultra-cheap Voldo.
All my records were with Talim though, except the 36 was Kilik.

Wow. And here I am trying to get Lizardman...there are a LOT of extra stages in Weapon Master Mode, though.

Yep. If you're cheap (like me before I got good with Talim) you'd use Link toi throw them off the edge with his R-A grab, or on the ones where you have to hit them in the air, you'd use his Up-A (I believe).

Well, for example, there's this one where you have to beat Inferno, but it's an extra mission, so he's a lot harder.

Easy.
Link- Spam his C move that allows you to spin upward, taking your opponent with you. You'll hit the ground before him, so just use it again and again.
Nightmare- He has one C move where he spins and knocks his enemy flat on their back. Spam that to hell and back, and maybe Inferno's head.
Talim- Rush him, and quickly use Up+Y then hit him with A and X moves constantly.
Taki- Rush him and use A, X, and Y moves.
