I didn't like the first NBA Street that much, and I didn't play Vol. 2, but I decided to try out V3 on a rental anyway. It's better than the first game, but I guess I'd still rather play a sports game based on official rules, and not the street. Still fun, I guess, even if it is unrealistic (no human can jump way over the backboard), and it's still holding my interest. Of course, judging by the success of my past basketball topic, I can't say this'll get that many replies, but I felt like posting anyway.

I totally agree with Smashey, except for this one Hockey game since you can smash anyone at anytime. I forgot the name of it though.

I have Vol.2, but Vol.3 looked way to cheesy. I mean, in the slam dunk contest you jump 5 feet above the rim, do a between the legs 360, toss it up to your teamate who's feet are higher than the backboard who does a reverse windmill. I'll wait till the price drops to get this one.

If I wanted to play unrealistic video games, I'd go play action/adventure and RPG games, not sports games. You should see the slam dunk contest in this one. You can jump over objects and go like 5 feet over the backboard. -_- That's all this game is, really: dunking. Sure, you can shoot your occasional three (or two, depending on the score type), but you can basically dunk anywhere inside the three point line if you run around enough.

Even though I am completely into sports games, I stick to the typical ones, I dont play the street games like this.
Never played it and I probably never will.

I THINK I played this one....
and yeah, they are unrealistic.
ShadowyOne, I could TOTALLY get owned by you. TOTALLY.
not really.....
I'm not good at sports games. Rarely know the rules or player statistics.

You know what's funny? The GameCube version has Mario, Luigi, and Peach. It's hilarious seeing Peach slam her hands on the ground taunting after doing a 20 foot high dunk. Mario and Luigi, not so much, but it's still funny, I guess. They should've put Bowser in instead of Peach. Now THAT would've just been plain badass. He could've blocked every shot and breathed fire on the whole opposing team while eating them. Hell yeah. And I think I'm getting better...I once did three gamebreakers in a game. But it's still unrealistic... I would go play something like NBA Live 2005, but I can't find it anywhere (to rent), and it takes up at least 200 blocks or something.

I doubt you are interested, but if you are...I have found places where you can outright buy that game for only 20 bucks.
