What would it be like?

I would want to make a game simular to SSBM but with ALOT more characters.

Well, not that much but alot of characters such as the Sonic characters, Megaman, and alot more. Basically a Sega SSBM.

I thought only Java and C/++.

Of course you can. It would be easier with other languages though, obviously.

I made a fun little scrolling shooter game with GameMaker, but I didn't have the patience to finish it. I also thought up a story for a sequel to Final Fantasy 1 many years ago, where one of the bosses returns and creates new fiends and stuff.

ITs nothing complicated like RPGs or stuff, its simple like SOlitaire make offs.

Edit: And here's a link to a game I'm planning on making it some day. I was stupid when I made that topic, and long since added mroe ideas. Probably do it with C or C++.

I don't know if I'll ever want to learn C/++ any time soon .. maybe in years to come.

That GameMaker looks interesting .. kind of reminds me of RPG Maker.

I seriously hope that Super Smash Bros. Revolution will have as many (if not more) characters as the amount in that pic you posted. =P

But if I really wanted to make a game, and not to just rush it out for profit, then I would make (hopefully) an RPG. If not, then probably a really long action/adventure game.

I'd make mine music orientated. Just cause I love it so much. I would make it have a story mode like Tony Hawk where you try to make in in the industry, and you could choose whether you wanted to be a DJ in hip hop, an mc in hip hop, a punk rock artist or whatever. It would be tight, and I'd make it exclusive to PS2 and Nintendo, fuck Xbox. Lol.
