Debate 3: What is the worst video game genre?

Welcome to the third Hatake Forum debate, based upon which video game type (genre) is the worst. Now, we all know that whatever's posted here is opinion, and not fact. However, we can all provide factual information to back up our opinion, so we can make other people cry. Just kidding, but here are a few ground rules:

- No flaming/insulting other members. This debate and any other debates we'll have won't be based off of which member is better, or why you dislike him/her (just kidding about the "her" part). Things could get heated...once again, just kidding. If you get riled up over a debate you're having with an anonymous person on the Internet, you need a good kick in the nuts.

- Try to sound intelligent. Don't go out of your way to try to sound funny, because you should try to at least sound logical; that way you'll win the debate.

- Any staff member has the right to do anything they want with your posts as long as it's in line and not mod abuse. Warnings/other punishments may be given if you act like a five year-old.

I think that's it...that was from the other topic. Now on to the "debate." Whoever wants to start out can, and I'll keep my own rules of participation that I stated in the previous debate.

Card games are the worst type of video games. They waste your money. They involve little or no action, no stimulus for the less intellectual, and they don't require any quick thinking or skill building. All they usually require is a little critical thinking on what move to make.

In my opinion, in general, Puzzles are the worse game type. Sure, they require you to think about what you'll do, and they have things like chess, but its all luck in what comes next and how the computers act. You can always find a pattern to their moves and easily counter it.

For a sub-genre, like Zoten said, Card Games are the worst. All you have to do is collect cards, get the right set, and then fight. Sometimes its even impossible to win. In FPS, there's the options of which way to go, what weapons to use, etc. In RPG, its tactics on how to win the battle, or reaction in real time games.

Card Battles are so bad. In some games, you waste money collecting the cards, then whoops! You lose them because you lost the battle.. It's sometimes impossible to win like CD said, and all you do is strategy and it becomes repetitive..

We're practically agreeing .. this isn't a debate.

Card Games (Card Battle Games) have to be the worst game genre out there. You put CARDS in DEFENSE MODE! What the hell is up with that? Cards attack you with powers of fire ice wind earth HEART .... wtf .....

Sounds like some old show.... oh yeah, Captain planet. I read a rant on that how back in the 80's, the fire dude was a pimp.

Card games are horrible. End of discussion. Next debate? >_> We need something we all disagree on.
