About a year and a half ago, I started a new file on FF7 which I only got to the part of the game where you have to dress up as a woman for that Don guy .. well just recently I've had this weird feeling telling me to go back and complete that file .. plus Zoten wants me to race him.
Well I played it for a while yesterday, and I'm just passed the Chocobo Ranch, caught a Chocobo, and went passed the Midgar Zolom(sp?). I'm only at level 16 ..
My question is, have any of you replayed FF7?

Replayed? Heck, I've never evne played it >< I don't even own a PS2. It's for PS1 if you happen to have that, and for PC as well. And, that's cool. I did happen to start a new game, but I think I only got up to the first visit in Kalm. That's just before you have the flashback (well, the first flashback) with Sephiroth, and I think that's the one where he's in your party. I kinda forgot about it after that. I usually never play RPGs all the way through more than once for some reason. Man, I remember the Midgar Zolom. He used to be really, REALLY hard the first time you had to cross him. I'm pretty sure once you got through a good portion of the game you could kill him in one hit, since (I think) he only has about 3500 HP.

My brother just downloaded it for the comp. I got to that Yuffie chase thingy, then my comp exploded, and we had to wipe the harddrive. >_>

lol I KNEW Naruto would start this thread for me. I'm so manipulative, it hurts......... ....other people, that is =P Lets see...... I have. So far I've missed only one thing in the entire game: Ramuh I didn't even know it was a summon in FF7 until ShadowyOne told me like a thousand times in the first FF7 thread on V2. I am so freakin good, I mean DAMN. Disk 2, JUST after getting the submarine. That means cloud has fallen in the lifestream and is back out again, Aerith died but I revived her XD , I've gone to the underwater reactor, and thats it so far. I am level 52 with cloud and my lowest level is 47 ... I think. It's at least 47, I know that. I've mastered two Ice materias, a fire, two All materias, and soon I'll have gold Chocobo. I've already cheated once and got Quadra magic the cheap way. And I have a mountain chocobo, that, upon the initial race I conducted with it (It was born and without any feeding, which is how you raise it's stats for racing at the gold saucer), it had a speed of 89 and a stamina of 507. My A class, maxed out parent for that chocobo (yellow, regular chocobo) wasn't that fast. Oh, my chocobo will kick ASS. I have both *secret* characters, too lazy to get omnislash, one limit away from giving Red XII "cosmo memory", lost a thousand times to emerald weapon already, about to do the Lucrecia thing, gonna get a high score on the snowboarding game, can't find the "sunk[en] gelinka/gelnika" and I have the key to the ancients, which I haven't been prompted to find yet. Oh, and I deal around 1500 per hit and I know some of the best materia combos ever.

Nice Zoten, very nice.
But you have to master Knights of the Round (I'm talking about mastering the actual Materia). Having two KotR = awesome. Not that it mattered because I had Master Summon, but whatever.

......ass.......
just joking.
Yeah, guess what?
I CAN'T GET MASTER SUMMON!
At least not if I don't beat emerald. You wanna know why? I missed "ramuh". I missed "ramuh"! I MISSED THE FUDGING RAMUH!! GODAMIT! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH
*takes a pill* *falls over*
.......
all better.
I don't even need kotr. I kick ass already. But yeah, there are some awsome materia combos out there.
like this:
"MASTER final attack"-"MASTER KOTR"; "MASTER final attack"+"MASTER Phoenix"; "mp-turbo"+"kotr"; "mp absorb"+"kotr"
kick-ass

Emerald's not that hard as long as you come at a decent level and know EXACTLY what you're going to do EACH turn. Otherwise he'll kick your ass and laugh at you. Ruby, however, will kick your ass, laugh at you, spit on you, and take a piss on your party if you come unprepared to him. I missed Ramuh and Ifrit my first time through. Luckily, I got Master Summon (and the other Master Materia) so it didn't matter in the end.

Yeah.... Ruby's a bitch.
And Emerald is annoying. I do pretty well UNTIL the little laser beams. That's what messes me up.

Damn, I had a whole strategy for both of them, but I forgot them. It's probably on GameFAQs, anyway.
Ruby's harder because you have to go in there alone if you want to survive his whirlwind sand attack thing. With Emerald you can at least (try to) revive your party members.
The 20 minute time limit isn't too bad either, even if you don't have the Underwater Materia. I somehow lost it (not kidding, it's seriously weird) and had to go in without it. I beat him with about a little less than a minute to go. =P
