Yes!
I now have a Gold Chocobo, Female, S Class.
I won like 10 S Class races in a row and Ester (I think that's her name) gave me like 6 items (Sprint Shoes, Chocofeather, etc) and a Materia (Counter Attack). That was pretty cool.
I now have 2088 GP. I'm saving for 5,000 so I can buy the stuff at Wonder Square and then battle in the battle arena place.

I don't think there is a 5,000 gp item.... no wait there is. Because you have a guide, and you say there is, so it must be so.....
Anyway, thats how I got my stuff then........ fancy that..
I ended up getting sprint shoes later, either somewhere else in the game or I decided to get it when I won it.
Now you are really close to me. But you suck, so you're probably like two hours from where I am.

Good job, Naruto.
Wait, are you using the guide made by BradyGames? If so, don't use it, because they make really crappy guides. =/
Oh, and have you gotten Omnislash yet? If not, just save up enough to battle enough in the arena to get it, and then get whatever prizes you want. Omnislash is awesome.

Yeah, the bradygames guide I borrowed for FFIV isn't very helpful (but it does get the job done...not well though). so I don't use it often. Except for suggested levels. But I'm usually ahead of those.
Oh yeah, If forgot to say good job also.

Bradygames are like the only ones that make guides for FF =P
I only use it when I'm stuck.
And there isn't a 5,000 GP item, I just want to buy the one that costs 2,000 and the one that costs 1,000 and have 2,000 GP to battle with.

That sucks, Sony should make official guides for their big first-party games like Nintendo does. Well, whatever, I used the FAQs at GameFAQs when I was stuck -- they're a lot better in my opinion. And as for the Gold Saucer thing, Zoten, are you sure you can access it at my first save in Disc 3?

I'm not certain about immediate access in third disc, but you are able to just before you have to go into the North Crater. If you are unable, see if Ultima Weapon is running around (maybe he's third disc). If your still unable, that sucks, because I'm able to do it on third disc.

I've done everything in the game in that save. That includes going into the North Crater, leveling everyone up until 99, and exiting and saving outside of Kalm. Maybe I'm trying to get in wrong. How do you get into the Gold Saucer anyway?

*jaw drops*
Find the desert Ruby Weapon is in. Go north until you see a town half-encircled by mountains. Enter it. Go all the way to the left (this town is Corl, and is a crapped out carboard jungle). The new screen should have a blue cable car on the left. Get in and it takes you to the gold saucer.
