Yeah, that's the real Sephiroth. He's dead though.

Anyone want to help me out here? I've been trying to get a male blue chocobo for some time.. I think I've breeded 8 different times (reset - battle+1 - save).
This is what I have:
Male Great Chocobo - Class A Female Good Chocobo - Class A
Whenever I breed them, I keep getting a green female or green male... never blue! What's up with that?
Also, I've been to the fourth materia cave with my green chocobo to get Mimic materia.

Which one is the real Sephiroth? The Safer Sephiroth version (comes complete with the One Winged Angel chorus), or the glacier one? So, do you really never meet him (except for flashbacks)?
And I don't know what you're doing wrong, so I'll list the steps from the beginning, and you can see if you went wrong someway along the steps.
1. Get one good and one great chocobo. 2. Get a wonderful chocobo afterwards (make sure the good and great aren't...the same gender). 3. If you want an awesome chocobo, feed the 3 you captured 99 Sylkis Greens, and then feed 25 to any other chocobo that's come across from breeding. 4. Get them to Class S in training. 5. Get at least 3 Carob nuts and 1 Zeio nut. 6. Use a Carob nut for your two "great" chocobos. 7. You'll get either a blue or green chocobo. 8. Feed the chocobo accordingly and race it to Class S in the Gold Saucer. 9. Fight at least 20 random battles (10 for adults to breed again, 20 for newborns). 10. Get your two original chocobos (the great ones) to produce an opposite chocobo (i.e. if you got a blue female, get a green male this time) with a Carob Nut. 11. Feed it and train it to Class S. 12. Breed the blue and green chocobos (y helo thar incest!) to get a black chocobo with a Carob Nut. 13. Feed it and train it to Class S. 14. Now it's time to put the wonderful chocobo to use. Breed the black chocobo with the wonderful one using a Zeio Nut to produce a gold chocobo.
That should be it for the first generation of gold chocobos. If you want the fastest chocobo known to mankind, there are still a few steps left. =P

I can't really see what I'm doing wrong.. even after reading that. I guess I'll try and do breeding, then 10 battles, then breeding then 10 battles, instead of restarting and battle. =/

Hey! That worked!
Now I can get rid of the great and good chocobos!
--
Now, currently I have:
Blue Male Chocobo - Class C Green Female Chocobo - Class A
I tried mating them .. but got green =P
I guess I'll raise the Blue Chocobo to at least Class A or even S.
I just got the Quadra Magic materia.

How much GP do you guys have? I have around 400.. that's my best ever. This is probably my best Final Fantasy 7 file.

Don't worry, you'll end up with a blue eventually.
oh, and thank you both.
ShadowyOne, Safer sephiroth and the one frozen in the glacier are both the real one. I believe, with absolutely no evidence or reasoning (honestly, I don't) that the one you follow around is a sephiroth clone or something.

I am so close to getting a gold chocobo now =]
Black Chocobo - Male - S Class Wonderful Chocobo - Female - A Class
I tried mating them with a Zeio nut .. but I only got a yellow... I'll keep trying though.
To anyone who has gotten a gold chocobo before, is it easy to distinguish the difference between a yellow and gold?

It kind of is...but once you'll get it you'll definitely notice. The gold one has a stronger color of yellow, and is more gold than the yellow one is. I can't really say it's darker, but it has more color. As for GP, I tried to check, but isn't the Gold Saucer closed or something in Disc 3? I couldn't get in.

S.O., you are either at the part where cloud is in the lifestream, or maybe it does close for a certain reason on disc 3, but you can go in if your only objective left is the north cave.
NO, I MEANT AFRICAN-AMERICAN!
Yeah, I meant black.
Froydian slip.
The most GP I've ever had on one file was 1800, because I got bored after my fourth chocobo race.

I have a save right before going into the cave, one at the bottom of the cave, and one before the cave and before defeating Ruby and Emerald. I was using the one after defeating Ruby and Emerald, but before going into the cave.
